Tennis Facility - Rules and Policies

It is the intent to limit rules and regulations to the minimum required for the mutual enjoyment of the facility by all members. The obligation for enforcing the rules for the good of all is placed primarily in the hands of management. Management reserves the right to alter rules and policies, as they deem necessary. Interpretation of rules and/or policies is the responsibility of management. Membership is subject to and conditioned upon the Member's compliance with all rules and regulations.

Membership Period

Members are valid for 1-year from date of payment. Membership and/or court fees must be paid before play begins.

Court Fees - Hourly Rates per court - Effective November 1, 2005

Members    $24 per hour
Monday – Friday 8:30am up to 3pm    $16 per hour
Guest (non-member)    $10 per visit (plus applicable court fees)
Walk-ups    $36 per hour

Payments

Personal Check, Cash, American Express, Visa, Discover and MasterCard. There will be a $25 service charge for returned checks.

Court Reservations

Members may reserve a court up to four (4) calendar days in advance of the playing day. Reservations are “First Come First Serve” and may be made by phone, in-person or online at SportsBlast.net. Multiple reservations (within the 4-days) are allowed. Back-to-back reservations are not accepted. A maximum court time of 1.5 hours per reservation – however longer play is allowed based on available court time. A reservation is considered a time reservation rather than a specific court reservation. Management reserves the right to assign courts which best utilize the available time. Only Members can reserve courts.

Extra Play

Members who continue to play more than 10-minutes past their scheduled court reservation time will be charged for an additional half-hour. (If court time ends at 1p and the Member is still playing on the court at 1:10p, the Member will be charged from 1p-1:30p)

Guests

An individual may be a guest of the facility 4-times within a 12-month period - must play with a member.

Good Standing

Out of respect to all members, anyone with an outstanding balance will not be allowed to play. This includes membership dues and court fees.

Events

There are several large events that may be scheduled throughout the year. Management reserves the right to alter court times and/or close the facility to members for these special events. Dates and/or times will be posted.

Holidays

The club will be closed for all major holidays.

Policies

  • Intentionally causing damage to the facility will result in loss of membership
  • No outside food and/or drinks of any kind are allowed inside the facility
  • Personal Water bottles are allowed. Previously used commercial bottles are not allowed
  • No smoking anywhere inside the facility
  • Relinquish your court promptly when your time is up

Attire

  • No cut off shorts or non-sport pants
  • Sportswear only
  • Non-marking tennis specific shoes only
  • Shirts must be worn at all times

Lessons

Former SIU Tennis Coach Missy Jeffrey is the Head Pro and available for lessons – both indoors and outdoors for individuals and groups. Missy will also be teaching children, junior and adult clinics and academies on a year-round basis. Please call 529-5511 for complete details.
